The Sequoia Experience: What to Expect

Starting mental health treatment shouldn’t have to be a blind leap of faith. We’re here to help you understand each step of the process.

Who are you reaching out for?

A Truly Personalized
Treatment Program

A mental health crisis is frightening and confusing. It’s common to feel lost and alone. At Sequoia, you’ll be seen, listened to, and welcomed into a community that understands exactly what you are going through.

Your Process

Your experience with Sequoia Behavioral Health will be simple and transparent. We’ll work with you and your loved ones to answer your questions and make sure you understand your path forward.

Intake: getting started

To get started, an admissions specialist will ask you some questions about yourself and your insurance. Then, we’ll determine your treatment program and start date. For inpatient treatment clients, we’ll arrange for drop-off or pickup at our facility.

personal assessment

When you arrive at either of our facilities, one of the first things you’ll do is sit down with a team member to develop your treatment plan. We’ll discuss your health history, struggles, and your hopes for the future. This information will help us determine which treatment types will be most effective.

treatment

Our treatment programs will look a little different for everyone. For inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization, you’ll participate in group therapy and activities with a small number of other clients, and you will also meet one-on-one with therapists for private treatment.

Next Steps

Depending on your program, you may move on to another level of care with Sequoia. As you grow healthier and feel better, we’ll work with you on creating a clear picture of your next steps forward.
